in Annapolis for our new interactive
"Take the Wheel" workshop. It’s a full-day program at the show that features
a morning seminar session followed by a demo boat ride in the afternoon. The
program includes a 2-day show ticket and is packed with extras throughout the day
including a light breakfast, midday lunch, wine tasting social and more!

TAKE THE WHEEL: NEW INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP LAUNCHES AT U.S. POWERBOAT SHOW IN ANNAPOLIS
Annapolis, MD- For the first time ever, the United States
Powerboat Show is teaming up with Annapolis School of Seamanship to offer an
all day workshop that combines educational seminars with an interactive onboard
experience. The new "Take the Wheel" workshop will take place at the 38th Annual
U.S. Powerboat Show in Annapolis, Md. on October 16 and 17.
Participants will enter the show grounds at 9 a.m., before the show opens, for
a light breakfast of coffee and bagels. Seminars will follow and lunch is
provided in a VIP lounge area set aside for workshop participants. In the
afternoon each participant will take an introductory ride on one of four major
styles of powerboats: trawler, express cruiser, center console, and Downeast
cruiser. Tiara Yachts, Kadey-Krogen Yachts, Boston Whaler, and MJM Yachts will
provide boats for the onboard session. A wine tasting and social will wrap the
day up at 5 p.m.
The workshop cost of $149 per person or $200 per couple includes:
- A 2-day regular admission boat show pass
- Morning seminars
- Afternoon on-the-water boat demo ride
- Printed materials
- Light Breakfast and Lunch
- Wine tasting social hour
The workshop is limited to 50 participants and choice of boat for
the demo rides is available on a first-come-first-served sign-up basis.

We are once again working with the both the Sail and Powerboat Shows and
Chesapeake Bay Magazine
to present our popular free seminars on
boating. We are thrilled to have such great speakers this year including
sailing guru and author Ralph Naranjo and renowned marine meteorologist
Lee Chesneau, among many others, as well as perennial favorites Chesapeake
Bay Magazine’s Janie Meneely and our own John Martino. Be sure to check
